The Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre (DASAC) has graduated 568 trainees in its third cohort, marking another milestone in Akwa Ibom State's efforts to strengthen youth empowerment through vocational and technical education.
Representing Governor Umo Eno at the graduation ceremony, Deputy Governor Sen. Dr. Akon Eyakenyi described the centre as a key pillar of the administration's human capital development agenda. She noted that the state is investing in skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation through DASAC, the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Centre, Youth Development Centres across the 31 local government areas, and the ARISE Tech Talent Accelerator Programme.
The Deputy Governor encouraged the graduates to apply their newly acquired skills to create employment opportunities and contribute to the state's economic development, while announcing that registration for DASAC's fourth cohort will commence in July 2026.
