Troops of Sector 4, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have apprehended a suspected foreign terrorist collaborator and an alleged illegal immigrant during an intelligence-led security operation in Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, reinforcing ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist networks and prevent cross-border infiltration in Nigeria's North-East.

Operational Update

According to Operation HADIN KAI, troops of the 115 Task Force Battalion conducted the operation at approximately 11:48 a.m. on July 19, 2026, in the Lassa, Dille General Area. During the operation, soldiers arrested Musa Fashir, a 32-year-old Sudanese national, who is suspected of being a foreign terrorist fighter and collaborator. Preliminary intelligence reportedly links the suspect to terrorist elements operating within the region.

Troops also apprehended Mary Florence, a 36-year-old woman who claimed to be an illegal immigrant from the Republic of Ghana. Military authorities said investigations are ongoing to verify her identity and determine the circumstances surrounding her presence in the operational area.
