SITREP: U.S. Conducts Eighth Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iranian Military Targets

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed another wave of military strikes against Iranian targets, carried out at approximately 11:30 p.m. ET on July 18 under the direction of the U.S. Commander in Chief. The operation marks the eighth consecutive night of U.S. military action against Iran amid escalating regional tensions.


According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted Iranian military coastal surveillance and air defence facilities, maritime assets, and missile and drone storage sites. The operation was aimed at further degrading Iran's military capabilities.

CENTCOM also stated that American forces struck elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) believed to have been involved in the missile and drone attacks against U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17.


The U.S. military said more than 50,000 American service members remain deployed across the Middle East, maintaining a heightened state of readiness while continuing regional security operations.
